Love it or hate it, no modern business can survive without IT. Prior to IT when the majority of the world was largely “offline” one of the keys to business success was location – not any more. The key to business success these days in the very much “online” world is traffic – a stream of visitors to your website or blog.

Creating a great blog which attracts plenty of visitors can help your business to succeed twofold – first of all every business needs clients to succeed, and every visitor to your blog is a potential client. The other way in which a blog can help your business to succeed is by getting you noticed – helping to make you one of the “in crowd” of Google.

You may think that having the latest, fancy, all singing all dancing website is enough for your business to succeed – it isn’t. The great thing about blogs is that they are always evolving, they are current, and the latest blog post is automatically there for your visitors to read instead of them having to search for new information through pages and pages of web-site.

In order for your blog to be truly successful it must be updated regularly – Google loves new content, it’s what makes it tick. Regularly updated your blog (daily, three times a week, at least weekly) will help Google to sit up and take notice of your business which in turn will help your business to rise to the top of the rankings and attract more visitors – do you see how this works?

Regularly blogging does take up a considerable amount of time but hey, nobody said that you have to write them yourself.  Anybody can write a blog, that’s true; it just has to be interesting and informal, as if you were having a chat over a coffee.  If you don’t have the time or the inclination to write a blog there are plenty of other people who can do it for you.

Blogging is one of the best ways you can utilize IT to help your business succeed.
