Computer monitors come in two basic types. CRT: these are the big old glass type, and TFT: this is a type of liquid crystal display, or flat screen.
The modern flat screens are more environmentally friendly and easy to recycle if they are no longer working. CRT monitors contain a significant volume of hazardous waste and are very dangerous to our environment, therefore must be dealt with accordingly.
In many cases TFT monitors and be reused and given an extended life. With the new work from home environment that we live in – many workers are in need of a monitor to operate efficiently in their jobs at home. If you no longer require your old TFT monitor, there may be someone that does.

Computer Monitor Assessment
At our secure facility we test each monitor to prove whether they are still functional. They are then graded dependant on their condition, our processing team are very thorough with the gradings and inspect each monitor rigorously.
If the monitor works and is in a good condition is can often be remarketed and reused. Any monitor with a low grade can be exported to our growing list of traders, these monitors are often sent to developing countries where they still have a use. Our aim is to ensure as many computer monitors as possible are reused.

Non-data Handling Equipment
If they no longer work, then they are broken down into different materials and recycled accordingly. Nothing goes to landfill. We recycle 100% of everything safely and securely.
